His father is Mr. Anil Priyarathna, the person who conducted wedding customs and rituals workshop for the first time in Sri Lanka. Further, he is the author of several important books which were woven around Wedding charithra (customs) in Sri Lanka. An exploratory book gifted about wedding charithra named ‘Mangala Siritha’ and ‘Sarana yuga divi asiri lakunin’ were few among them.
